Griffith Park

So I was in the States for over a week and couldn’t go on a hike, this was really bothering me but soon after many calls by my sister, she managed to get me to join a hiking club called “the Sierra club” , and after a quick decision I was on my way to hike up with them up the Griffith park mountain range. We started off at around 7 pm, I know this is not the time I’m used to go hiking but the sun above the States decides to set late in the night. So we started to hike I was at the back end of the group which didn’t go to well as all the dust ended up on my face hehe.

Soon I  started seeing the busy city life right above its nose, it was Glendale and Burbank according to Charles whom I met along the way, I could hear a bundled up package of noice by the city, that was a first for me, even though its not some thing nice for the environment.

We soon climbed our way right to the top of Griffith park, this was even more exciting as I saw Los Angeles in one side and the Angeles Mountain range on the other side, this was my first hike in the USA and this was the first time I was looking down a mountain with city life all around me.

I wish the group stayed up there much longer but they were super fast so with hardly a break we pushed through, And guess what I saw next, I saw the “Hollywood” sign sitting on the mountain only a few meters away, but this was from an angle so yea I wont count it, because I am hoping to go up there with my sister some time soon.

By now the night was approaching and we were heading down to where we started, I forgot to take my flash light along so I had to depend fully on the moon light, however It was not at all dark Like in Sri Lanka, I loved this so much but this just made me want more!
